Aloha Classmates!
I hope you are all well and enjoying your summer. You all have participated, expressed interest in participating, or donated to Kamehameha's Relay for Life in years past. Well, here I am again to let you know that the 2011 Relay is just around the corner. The Relay will be held at Konia Field from 6 p.m. Saturday August 20th to 6 a.m. Sunday August 21st. Won't you consider joining our KS Class of '74 team this year?
Many of you remember what a fun and fulfilling experience it was. (And yes, ok, tiring, too, but it was a good tired, right?) For those of you who haven't yet participated, I can tell you that being on an American Cancer Society Relay For Life team is an amazing experience!
Picture the scene: you're surrounded by your classmates, family, and friends, urging each other on to make another lap around the track, and the air is filled with the sound of laughter and sometimes tears, as our community celebrates those who have fought cancer, remembers the loved ones we've lost, and fights back against a disease that has taken too much from too many.
It would be an honor to have you on our team for this year's Relay For Life. The American Cancer Society is saving lives by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back. Are you ready to join the fight? If so, please go to the link below and click either "Sign up" or "Donate".
Please also take a moment to view Benny Medina's video below.
We all remember what a force he was in high school. Well, he delivers a powerful message of his experiences with his beloved Holly's fight with pancreatic cancer. He says it so well, that we must fight to stop this awful disease. Your participation and donations will help. Sign up today.Aloha,
Uluwehi
